NEW PLYMOUTH HARRIERS

RUN FROM EAST END The New Plymouth Harrier Club members turned ont on Saturday for the weekly run, which was from East End reserve. Owing to several members being at Marton for the West Coast (N. 1. centre championships the muster was small but a very enjoyable run was made over a course of about eight miles. Leaving the reserve the pack ran up the bank of Te Hanui, which was crossed just above the Scout reserve, and carried on in a southerly direction for about a mile. At this point the course turned towards Mangorei Road and followed above the quarries to the Waiwakaiho River and down past the abattoirs to the mouth. The going along the beach was very hard through the force of the wind, and about half of the pack had to wait for the other half as some were rather tired. When about half a mile from home the harriers had a run in and arrived home well satisfied with their outin?
