STBNNING’S HBST APPEARANCE. EASILY DEFEATED BY By Telegraph—Press Association. Ashburton, Aug. 16. Before a packed house Carl Stenning (South Africa) made his first New Zealand appearance in a wrestling match last night when he met George Walker, who won by two falls to one. The bout was dull generally, with occasional bright passages. Walker secured a fall : in the fourth and sixth rounds with dumps and a body press, and submitted to an octopus hold in the fifth. Walker never looked like being beaten.
