INGLESIDE AT BELL BLOCK
CROWD ATTENDS AT THE HALL. An ingleside held in the Bell Block hall on Wednesday night proved successful. At the opening the chief, Mr. R. W. D. Robertson, the cnieftain, Mr. W. Johnston, and Mr. L. J. Rundle, president of the hall association, were played into the hall by the pipers. Mr. Rundle, on behalf of the hall committee, and those present, welcomed the visitors. Mr. Robertson, replying, made mention of the success of the two previous inglesides at Bell Block. Music for the dances was supplied by Martin’s orchestra, that for the Scottish items being played by Pipe-Major Cruden. Extras were played by Miss Sarten, Waitara. Before the serving of supper the haggis was piped in and the chieftain recited the ode. The supper arrangements were in the hands of a ladies’ committee, comprising Mesdames L. Rundle, T. French, J. Thompson, R. Parkin and Mallow.
