TO STUDY IN SYDNEY

TALENTED YOUNG MUSICIAN. WELL-KNOWN HAWERA VIOLINIST. After having demonstrated his talent with tiie violin for a number of years to Hawera musical audiences and others further afield, Master Louis Fox, a son of Mr. H. C. Fox, Hawera, has left for Sydney to continue studies. Although not yet 17 years old, Louis Fox has won many competition championships throughout New Zealand, and has, with his sisters, Margaret and Olga, been a member of the well-known Fox trio. He was a first violin of the Hawera Orchestral Society, members of which expressed good wishes to him at the last practice on Wednesday night. Louis Fox has entered for several sections in the Sydney National Eisteddfod, where it is expected that his brilliance with the violin will bring him success.
