The War Department has perfected to £6,600,000 plan to encircle the United States with anti-aircraft defence, to, be presented at the next session of Congress. They call for the newest equipment in anti-aircraft guns, searchlights and fire control for eight regular army regiments, seven National Guard regiments and 19 inactive regular army regiments. Recent studies by experts have disclosed that tne anti-aircraft defences are inadequate.
