By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night

Head injuries from which he later died in hospital were received by William Arthur Bunker, aged 73, a resident of Ponsonby Road, in a tramway accident on Ponsonby Road on Saturday morning. Mr. Bunker was crossing the road in the driving rain, holding an umbrella, when he failed to see the approach of the tramcar, which caught his umbrella, dragging him along and throwing him to the ground. He was admitted to hospital in an unconscious condition and died in the evening. He was a widower.
