MR. H. C. HAMMOND DEAD
ONCE PROMINENT FOOTBALLER. RESIDENT OF NEW PLYMOUTUH. Mr. H. C. (“Son”) Hammond died suddenly at his residence, Beach Street, Fitzroy, yesterday morning. He was aged 55 years. Mr. Hammond was well-known at New Plymouth, and during his younger days was a prominent footballer and athlete. He had been a foreman for Messrs. Boon Bros., Ltd., for many years, having been employed by the company for over 30 years. Mrs. Hammond and a married daughter, Mrs. L. Weine (Wellington) survive Mr. Hammond.
