Miss Marjorie Todd is the guest of Mrs. Ivo Honeyfield.

Miss Peggy Welch, Wanganui, has been Miss Betty McCarty’s guest for the past fortnight. Mrs. J. A. Wither, Whenuakura, has left on a holiday visit to Matakana. Miss R. Findlay, Lower Hutt, who has been Mrs. Honeyfield’s guest, is visiting friends at Hawera. Miss Ruby Harris is a visitor to Stratfor dand Normanby. Mrs. Frank Parsons, Whenuakura, has left on a visit to Auckland. Mrs. T. E. Roberts is spending a holiday at Wellington, where she is the guest of Mrs. E. P. Rowe, Wadestown. Mrs. R. W. Haddow and Mrs. L. Honeyfield were visitors to Wellington for the Plunket conference. Prize-winners at the Patea Boy Scouts’ jamboree fund flag five hundred evening on Monday were Mrs. Calderwood, Mrs. E. Allen and Miss M. Allen. Members of the St. George’s Ladies Guild entertained a number of friends at a card evening on Wednesday,, when Mrs. Hurst, Mrs. L. Adams and Miss R. Honeyfield were prize-winners. A-short costume play was presented by members of the Di'Q.ma. Circle to the Women’s Institute gathering yesterday, when old identities were the institute’s guests. Mr. H. Locker gave a talk on early days in the district. An old photographs competition provided much interest. Mrs. S. Gunn entertained a party to afternoon tea at her residence on Wednesday after the tree planting in the reserve. Mesdames L. Adams, C. H. Carey, N. Coad and R. S. Crawford assisted her.
