"STRIPED LIKE ZEBRA”

MR. POLSON DESCRIBED. COMPLETE COALITIONIST. Wellington, July 17. There is generally something bright in the speeches of Mr, J. A. Lee (Lab-our-Grey Lynn) and his pointed personal remarks often amuse members in the House of Representatives, Tire House was amused in this way to-night when Mr. Lee referred to Mr. W. J. Polson (Stratford) as “the complete Coalitionist.” Mr. Lee added that Mr. Polson was striped like a zebra with the colours of Reform and United, that he bobbed from caucus to caucus, and that he did not know whether he was coming or going. Mr. Polson, it may be explained, was elected to the House in 1928 as an Independent, but joined the Coalition in 1931. He has no connection with either the Reform or the United parties, hence Mr. Lee’s description of him as the complete Coalitionist.
