NEW FRENCH SUBMARINE

LAUNCHING AT ST. NAZAIRE. ACTIVE RANGE OF 10,000 MILES. By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright. St. Nazaire, June 26. A new submarine, named the Conquerant, has been launched. She is of 1500 tons displacement, 300 feet long, and has a speed of 20 knots on the surface and 10 knots submerged. Her active range is 10,000 miles. She has 11 torpedo tubes, one gun, and two machineguns.
