LITTLE THEATRE PLAYERS.
MEMBERS READ “THE BERG.”
“The Berg,” a play by Ernest Raymond, was read by members of the New Plymouth Little Theatre Players at the weekly meeting last night. Those who took part were Mesdames W. J. Reid and P. Atkinson, Misses M. Campbell, J. Anderson, B. White, K. Morey, B. Rawson, B. List, and Messrs. T. Wright, R. Whitwell, Keyes and P. Stephenson.
KOHURATAHI GIFT AFTERNOON.
Mrs. J. A. Nairn, Whitianga Road, was hostess at a gift afternoon for Miss Dinah Stockwell, who is shortly to be married. Mrs. Perry in a brief speech, asked Miss Stockwell to accept the gifts as token of the esteem in which she was held. Mrs. Stockwell on behalf of her daughter thanked Mrs. Nairn and expressed appreciation of the gifts. Music and games made the afternoon pass quickly. Those present included Mesdames Nairn, Stockwell, Harre, Perry, Bacon Kirton, Curry, t Carver senr., Carver junr., O’Kane, arid Misses Nairn, Stockwell, West (2), Connor (3), Burch, Bacon and Law.
