DANCE AT HUIRANGI
PERSONAL AND GENERAL ITEMS. There was a good attendance at the old-time and modem dance held in the Huirangi hall on Tuesday night in aid of school funds. There was euchre for non-dancers, 17 tables being occupied. Mr! S. Osborne and F. Blattler were in charge. Prizes were donated by Miss Simpson and Mrs. N. Sarten. The winners were (ladies): Mrs. W. Goble (12 games) 1, Mrs. Spurdie, Mrs. Thompson and Miss Bullot (10-J games) 2. Men: Mr. L. Andrews (14 games) 1, Mr. -W. McAull (114 games) 2. Rowe’s orchestra supplied the music for the dance and Mr. W. Watson was master of ceremonies. Extras were played by Mrs. H. Giddy and supper was provided by the ladies’ committee. Personal. Mrs. H. Morgan. Wellington, and Mrs. W. Ackland, Lepperton, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. Mace. ■ Miss M. Hutchinson will spend her school holidays at Fielding. Mrs. W. Lovell, who has been staying with her sister, Mrs. Wells, has returned to Tongaporutu. Lieut. P. Surrey left this morning for Trentham to attend annual military camp. Mrs. H. Arms, Waitara, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. W. Hall. Mrs..H. Giddy is spending a few days with Mrs,., R. F. Giddy.
