RATAPIKO PRESENTATION

General and personal news Ratapikb residents tendered a kitchen evening to Mr and Mrs Roy Clough on Friday. Mr A. Gannaway spoke at length of the good qualities of the guests, ahd said that he was pleased they were not going to leave the district, Mr Ganhaway asked Mr and Mrs Clough to accept the gifts brought. Mr Clough replied. Dance music was played by Mr .and Mrs C. Hall, Mr A. Gannaway and Mrs B. Dust. Mr D. Therkleson was master of ceremonies. Supper Was provided by the ladies Of the district. There was an attendance of 16 at the householders’ meeting last Monday. Mr M. Nolan, chairman, gave an account of the work done during the la St twelve mojiths. A vote of thanks was accorded the out-going committee. The following committee was elected: Mrs O. James, Messrs. W. Thompson, T. Eva, 0. D. Jambs and C. Edmonds.

Mrs Hill and Miss D. Hill have returned from a holiday St Auckland. Mr and Mrs G. Stevens, Makara Road, returned on Saturday from Wellington.
