FAREWELL TO MRS. GRANT
INGLEWOOD WOMEN’S INSTITUTE. Members of the past and present committee of the Inglewood branch of the Women’s Institute gathered on Monday afternoon to farewell Mrs. A. Grant, who will shortly leave to reside at Ashburton. The tables were decorated with lavender flowers, representing the institute colours. Mrs. Adnams, president, referred to the splendid service rendered the institute by Mrs. Grant during her four years of membership. She had been a • very active member of the committee and a hard worker and had always taken a keen interest in the affairs of the institute. She presented Mrs. Grant with a lavender lady. On behalf of the executive of the Taranaki federation Mrs. Kaye thanked Mrs. Grant for the assistance she had rendered the executive at all times. Mesdames Graybrooke, Stewart, Feaver, Comey, Lindsay, Porter, Harwood and Sinclair also spoke. In reply Mrs. Grant said any work she had done for the institute bad been a pleasure. ’ ELTHAM GOLF TEAM. MATCH AGAINST STRATFORD.
