. COUNTRY IN PEOPLE’S OPINION. MR. SAVAGE COMPLETES TOUR. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night The Leader of the Opposition, Mr. M. J. Savage, returned to Wellington after a comprehensive tour of the South Island. He said he was struck by the great interest being taken in political matters, especially in farming communities. There was no doubt people were anxious for an election as they felt the country was heading for the edge of a precipice and something -had to be done to stop it going over. Mr. Savage will spend a fortnight at Auckland and then will undertake a complete tour of the North Island.
