HAZOOR’S GOOD WIN
WAIRARAPA RACE MEETING NEWMARKET TO LADY NAN. GAY SETON TAKES FERRY HACK. By Telegraph—Press Association. Carterton, Last Night. The first day of the Wairarapa Racing Club’s meeting was held on Saturday in fine though dull Weather. The attendance was very fair and the course in splendid order as will be seen from the fast times recorded. The totalisator handled £10,511 as compared with £8974 10s, for the same day last year. The dividends throughout the day were small. The Easter Handicap was won narrowly by W. Howard Booth’s Hazoor by a short neck from B. L. Hammond’s Saltpot. Results are:—
