CHURCH HARVEST SERVICES

THANKSGIVING AT FITZROY. Harvest thanksgiving services were held on Sunday last at Knox Presbyterian Church, Fitzroy, when the Rev. H. Gould preached to large congregations, speaking in the morning upon “How man accepts or rejects God’s blessings” and in the evening upon “The message of the three Jewish harvest festivals,” when the choir rendered the anthem “The Lord is my Shepherd.” The church had been decorated with the offerings of fruit, flowers and produce, which was sold on Monday evening by Mr. Webster and a substantial sum realised for the maintenance of the work. Before the sale a short programme was rendered by members of the congregation.
