MUNICH AIR FORCE. W DISTINGUISHED WAR SERVICE. Munich, March 12. Ecstasies of delight were aroused in the crowd at the annual Munich air race when it was known that the Reich Minister, Herr Rudolf Hess, Herr Hitler’s deputy, had won in fastest time. Twelve competitors took part in the race, which was from the Oberwiesenfeld to an aerodrome near the summit of Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain peak, and back again. Herr Hess, in the World War, distinguished himself as an intrepid airman.. Before the start on Saturday he gave an exhibition of “stunting” in the air.
