TENSION IN MONGOLIA

JAPANESE REINFORCEMENTS. LARGE QUANTITY OF SUPPLIES. London, March 16. The Peking correspondent Of The Times states that an uneasy situation again prevails in Eastern Charhar, where the Japanese, in addition to sending troops to reinforce those already stationed in the Kuyuan district, havo transported large quantities of military supplies from Jehol during the past tew days. Consequently General Sun Cheh Yuan, President of Charhar, is coming to Peking for a conference with the Chinese military authorities. It is generally expected that a sequel to the Emperor Pu Yi’s enthronement will be a Japanese attempt to bring Inner Mongolia into the so-called Manchukuo-Tokio fqld.
