EXPLANATION TO CONSERVATIVES-DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF 8.8. C By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Rec. 5.5 p.m. London, March 19. Sir J. C. W. Reith, director-general Of the British Broadcasting Corporation, attended a meeting of 150 Conservative members of the House of Commons, whom he favourably impressed with his explanation of the constitution and administration of the British'Broadcasting Corporation. He disclosed that the corporation received 4s 6d of the 10s license fee, the Government receiving the remainder. • Apropos of the recent complaints concerning the working conditions he submitted a memorial signed by 800 employees expressing disgust at the attacks made and reiterating loyalty ft. him. He added that the majority of the enormous f number of letters received expressed approval of the service.
