RIVERLEA SCHOOL AFFAIRS
AGRICULTURAL CLUB WORK.
The monthly meeting of the Riverlea School Committee was held last Monday night. Present were Messrs. Chapman, Voullaire, Kenyon and Turner. Mr. Voullaire read a report of the annual meeting of the dental clime committee. Mr. Voullaire said most of the dental fees were to hand.
The following pupils qualified for swimming certificates: Stanley Symes 500yds, Ernest Chapman 350yds, Ashley Nicholson 60yds, Joyce Webby 240yds, Mavis Lovell 100yds, Minnie Kenyon 160yds. • The boys and girls’ school agricultural club has held its February meeting; The following new officers were elected: Chairman, Joyce Webby; secretary, Minnie Kenyon; treasurer. Mavis Lovell. In the competition for collecting white butterflies Margaret Parker was first, Charlie Mclntosh second and Loma Rutherford third. Mr. Turner, one of the plot supervisors, took the plot-owners and the officers of the club around the plots for inspection and " instruction. ’ The club officers wrote a report on the condition Of the plots.
