VARIOUS SPORTS ACTIVITIES. Warea tennis players met defeat at the hands of Oaonui players whom they visited recently. The school children are training for their annual sports, which are to be held in the Warea domain on March 23. The following players represented the Warea Basketball Club at the Opunake beach gala: Mrs. P. Chapman, the Misses E. Doody, Mary Doyle, Eileen Doyle, Maisie Sole, Rona Wells, Norma Wells, Dolly Julian £md Joan Lewis. In the final match the local players defeated Opunake Old Girls. Members of the Warea Bowling Club are to take part in a pairs tournament with the Okato and Rahotu clubs for. the Duff Cup. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Meier and Miss Elsie Meier have returned from a holiday on the Hauraki Plains. Mr. Ernie Davis is spending a holiday with his sister, Mrs. Percy Briggs, Hillsborough. ' ’
Mr. G. C. Morey has taken over the Warea store, which until recently was conducted by Mr. c. Moss. Mr. T. Julian is indisposed. Mr. W. Julian, Otakeho, has been visiting his father. Mrs. C. Moss left on Saturday to spend a holiday at Dannevirke. Mrs. R. Whytcross js visiting hexbrother, Mr. C. Moss.
