CRICKET AT RATAPIKO

MATCH WITH TUNA ELEVEN. A cricket team from Tuna paid a visit to Ratapiko recently. The Tuna eleven was too strong for the home team, but the match provided an enjoyable day’s sport. Ratapiko won the toss and elected to bat, and the Ratapiko players were all out for 55 (D. Therkleson 20 and C. Therkleson 10). F. Adlam took three wickets for three runs and Webster two for 10, and L. Kovaleski three for four. Tuna replied with 89 runs (T. Henderson 46. F. Adlam 18 and C. Henderson 10). G. Linklater took three wickets for 50 runs, L. Dravitski two for 33, J. Linklater four for one, and M. Dravitski one for one.

Ratapiko went in again and at stumps had lost four wickets for 47 runs, G. Curran's 19 being the highest score.
