RETURN JOURNEY OVER TASMAN.

DECISION OF KINGSFORD SMITH. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. On the return flight to Australia about the middle of March the Southern Cross will carry 6001 b. of mail, Sir - Charles Kingsford 'Smith announced to-night. The decision was made following the receipt of numerous requests and the necessary arrangements have been made. When the date of the flight is announced it will be strictly adhered to unless cyclonic conditions prevail in the Tasman. The northern tour has been extended over the week-end following February 1.
