BOY FATALLY INJURED

CYCLE AND MOTOR COLLIDE. ACCIDENT AT ST. HELIER’S. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Fatal injuries to the: head were received by a pupil of the, St. Helier’s Bay school, Albert Leonard Tucker, aged 14, as the result of a collision between his bicycle and a motor-car this, morning. The boy, a son of Mr. A. Tucker, had returned to his home at Walmsley Road only a few minutes earlier with the advice that he had passed his proficiency examination.

The boy returned to his home after making an early visit to school to leam the examination results and was on his way to do an errand for his mother when the accident occurred. The car, which was driven by Mr. H. A. Horrocks, St. Helier’s, was travelling toward the city. The boy suffered severe cuts on the face, also received serious head injuries. lie was taken to the Auckland hospital, where his death occurred.
