Few men have done as much for the New Plymouth Aero Club as Mr. Arthur Sandford. Particularly on the practical side, Mr. Sandford has done valuable work. Since his great flight from England to Australia Mr. Ulm has had the petrol capacity of his plane Faith in Australia increased, and the plane now has an endurance of 2360 miles and a cruising speed of 100 to 105 miles an hour. The wing span is larger than that of' the Southern Cross, being just on 75 feet, and it is, like the Southern Cross, equipped with Wright Whirlwind engines. ' . ■
