SHIPPING AT WAITARA. The Mahurangi arrived at Waitara from Mokau on Thursday evening and discharged a quantity of slack coal. She sailed again early yesterday morning for New Plymouth to discharge the balance of her coal cargo. The Kapui has completed her survey and is at present at Mokau loading coal for Waitara. MOVEMENTS OF OVERSEAS SHIPS. AUSTRALIAN CARGO. The inter-colonial steamer Gabriella arrived l at New Plymouth yesterday from Sydney, and after discharging 350 tons of coal and 225 tons of timber and general cargo, is to sail about noon today for Wanganui and Greymouth. Captain C. W. Ostenfeld is in command, and his officers are: Chief, Mr. D. Munro; second, Mr. C. E. Carter; third, Mr. J. Sadlier; chief engineer, Mr. Dickie; second, Mr. C. Adams; third, Mr. W. Murray; chief steward, Mr. W. Fisk. CUMBERLAND SAILING. The Cumberland, which arrived at New Plymouth on Thursday, is to complete loading 22,000 freight carcases of meat, 6200 crates of cheese, 5770 boxes of butter and 200 tons of general cargo to-day. She will sail in the evening for Opua, Napier, Gisborne and Auckland. AKAROA TO-MORROW. The Akaroa will arrive at New Plymouth early to-morrow morning to load for Britain. She will take 20,000 boxes of butter, 11,000 crates of cheese and 20,000 freight carcases of meat from New Plymouth, sailing on Wednesday evening for Bluff. PORT HUON’S HOMEWARD TRIP. On her homeward trip the motor-ship Port Huon, which left New Plymouth for Wellington on Wednesday, will travel via Panama insead of via Cape Hom. The vessel is due at Auckland on November 27 to complete loading, and is announced to sail for England on November 30. TUSCAN STAR AT AUCKLAND. The Blue Star Line's motor-ship Tuscan Star arrived at Auckland yesterday. The vessel, which has made the outward voyage in ballast to inaugurate the company’s refrigerated cargo service homeward, will load and will sail about Tuesday to complete her cargo at Napier, Wanganui and Wellington. Members of the Mokau-Awakino branch motored to Pio Pio and spent a. pleasant afternoon at the sixth anniversary meeting of the Pio Pio branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union.
