DECREE NISI GRANTED
GROUNDS OF ADULTERY. On the grounds of adultery Elsie Miln, New Plymouth was at the New Plymouth Supreme Court yesterday granted a decree nisi in divorce, to be made absolute in three months, from her husband, Victor Dawson Miln. The petition was undefended and was heard before His Honour Mr. Justice Blair. Mr. A. G. Macallan appeared for the petitioner.
Petitioner stated she married Miln on November 17, 1923. They lived for some time at Waitoitoi. She asked for the custody of Nancy Beth Miln, one of the children of the marriage.
Horace Alfred Tweedale, labourer,' Leach Street, New Plymouth, and Joseph James Moyle, contractor, Mount Edgecombe Street, New Plymouth, gave evidence.
In reply to. His Honour Mr. Macallan said the older child was in the custody of the paternal grandparents. Access might be asked for later. A decree nisi was granted petitioner, with custody of the child applied for and costs against respondent on the lowest scale.
