PERSONAL AND GENERAL. Miss M. Hoyle is visiting Ohura and is the guest of Mrs. E. Currie.Miss Betty Allen entertained at a bridge evening last Tuesday in honour of Mr. Denis Budd, who is leaving the district shortly to take up residence at Matamata.

The Ohura play-reading circle was held at the home of Miss Betty Allen on Monday evening. Tire play read was “The Devil’s Disciple” by Bernard Shaw. The parts were taken by Mrs. Marshall, Miss Jean Turnbull, Mrs. W. K. Williams, Mr. Wagstaff, Mr. Soyne, Rev. Marks, Mr. Brett, Miss B. Wagstaff, Mr. Budd and Mr. HaineS.

Mr. Eric Bleasel is the guest of his mother for a few weeks.
