AUSTRALIAN WOOL TRADE
JAPANESE MARKET THREATENED. " BOLD BID BY URUGUAY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 11.30 p.m. Tokio, Oct. 13. A special Uruguayan trade mission recently arrived to attempt to obtain' an agreement to supplant Australian wool in the Japanese markets. The delegation is probably proposing a reciprocal trade agreement, accepting Japanese manufactures in exchange for wool.
Uruguay recently opened a legation in Tokio and elaborately entertained at a luncheon the Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs and 70 leading business men.
