APPROACHING SETTLEMENT
VICTORIAN MEAT STRIKE. OVERTURES TO EMPLOYERS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 10 p.m. Melbourne, Oct 13. The slaughtermen’s strike in the export meat works is believed to be approaching a settlement. The Trades Hall disputes committee on behalf of the strikers to-day made overtures to the employers’ representatives for a conference, which is now under consideration.
