UPPER MANGOREI NEWS

The Welbourn school basketball and Rugby teams played the Upper Mangorei teams at the Upper Mangorei school on Thursday afternoorf. The Welbourn teams were defeated, the basketball score being 11 to 8 and the Rugby 23 to 11. Miss Jones refereed the basketball and Mr. Radford the Rugby. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies in the hall. Mr. F. Gleye has returned from a holiday with friends in New Plymouth. Miss P. Wells is the guest of Mrs. Lunn, Vogeltown. Mrs. H. Sears, Oka to, is staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. Flay.

Miss J. Reid is to spend a holiday at Tataraimaka.
