FIERCE ROYAL SWANS

PASSERS-BY ATTACKED. The number of swans on inland stretches of water in the Midlands, in England, is multiplying enormously, and the birds are proving a menace in many oases. Young ducklings and waterfowl are disappearing in alarming fashion, and the owners are petitioning local authorities to destroy or remove the swans. It has been discovered that many of the birds are royal swans, and are therefore fully protected in every way. It has been decided to consult His Majesty’s Swan Master on the matter.
