EXPLORATION IN AUSTRALIA
AIR EXPEDITION GOING NORTH. PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 10.10 p.m. Sydney, Aug. 15. An aerial expedition for exploration of North Australia began to-day from Mascot aerodrome. Captain Neale, who was associated with the recent Mackay aerial expedition in Central Australia is piloting a Percival Gull machine. The party includes. Commander Bennett, formerly of the Australian navy, and Mr. W. G. Hutchins, who has extensive knowledge of the Northern. Territory. Their mission is to acquire first-hand knowledge of the prospects of development.
