CLEVER WRESTLING
WALKER DEFEATS OSWALD.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night
One of the best contests of the present wrestling season was seen in the Town Hall to-night, when Walker defeated Hank Oswald by a fall gained in the sixth round with a jack-knife hold and press. The fall was cleverly manoeuvred, Walker taking Oswald by surprise when the latter was bending down in an effort to escape from a body hug. Pushing Oswald forward, Walkerclaimed his leg, pulling it back and at we . same time imprisoning the American’s head with his knees. Finally Walker fell on him for a press. ; v . Both men worked hard throughout and in the final rounds Oswald strove to equalise with flying tackles and scissor holds. The champion, however, repulsed every attack. •
