GAIETY AT OLD GIRLS’ BALL
NEW PLYMOUTH SUCCESS. MANY VISITORS PRESENT. The Workers’ Social Hall, New Plymouth, was very gay last night on the occasion of the annual ball of the Old Girls of the New Plymouth High School. The artistically arranged crepe paper canopy of pink and pale blue, with large bows round the walls, and a cleverly decorated stage of nikau palms and other native foliage, all served to make the general effect one of beauty and gaiety. As usual were visitors present from all parts of the province. The attendance was about 150, and to the lively times of Vinsen’s orchestra all entered into the spirit of the evening. The chaperons were Mesdames H. R. Billing, R. A. George, A. C. Collins and Miss D. N. Allan. The committee responsible for the general arrangements, the supper and the decorations comprised Misses M.
