PASSION PLAY THEATRE BURNED. “REVENGE” PAINTED ON WALLS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Rec. 10 p.m. Innsbruck, July 20. The .famous Passion Play Theatre at Erl, near Kufstein, was to-day destroyed by fire. A huge swastika and the word “revenge” were found painted on the foundation wall. Newspaper cuttings dealing with the punishment of Austrian Nazis and the suppression of Nazi conferences were scattered around.
