WORK IN PROGRESS ON CLYDESIDE. British Official Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, July 19. “Contracts for ships and machinery placed recently with Clyde shipbuilding and engineering firms amount to about £4,500,000 and work is already in progress,” stated Captain D. E. Wallace, Civil Lord of the Admiralty, in the House of .Commons. to-day.
