STRATFORD CYCLE RACE.
PITTAMS wins by length. After riding a fine race and prevailing only in. the last sprint for the line, L. Pittams won the Stratford Cycle Club’s road race from Stratford to Te Roti and return yesterday. The distance is 28 miles and conditions were ideal. Pittams had A. MeIvor matched against him in the final sprint and won by a length. They were |m ahead of K. Mehrtens, who gained fastest time, lh 4m 57 l-ss. Details are:— i ■. L. Pittams (sm) 1 A. Mclvor (7m) 2 K.
