INDIA’S £4,000,000 PORT
VIZAGAPATAM ALMOST READY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Rec. 11.30 p.m. Calcutta, July 14. India’s great new harbour at Vizagapatam, constructed at a cost of four million pounds, will be open for oceangoing steamers of 27 feet draught in November. Vizagapatam will provide the chief port for the Manganese district to the west and the productive territory of Orissa to the north.
