GAS-FILLED BEEF EXPORT
SHIPMENT BY PORT FAIRY. SMITHFIELD AWAITS RESULT. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright London, July 13. Smithfield is interestedly awaiting the first consignment of New Zealand gas-chilled beef, arriving by the Port Fairy on August 17. It is considered that gas-chilled is preferable to chilled or frozen. If successful it will afford the Dominions valuable aid against Argentina.
