GOLF AT OPUNAKE
NO WEEK-END PLAY. WAIAUA CUP MATCHES. Rain provided a setback for the Opunake golf competitions during the weekend and only one match was decided. Owing to the approach of the championships the match committee has. decided that the third round of .the Waiaua -Cup must be completed by to-day (Wednesday). The semi-finals are to be completed by the 16th inst Further results in the Waiaua Cup competition are as follows:— , Second round: G. Feaver (11) defeated E. J.'Wallis (22) 5 up and 3. Third round: D. Watt (18) defeated L. Stephenson (14) 1 up. D. Fraser (6) defeated R. Anderson (14) 4 up and 2. C. O. Edmonds and F. Hammond and E. F. Craighead and G. Feaver yet to be played. ’
