WOMEN’S DIVISION DANCE. A dance, conducted by the Cardiff branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the hall on Thursday, There was a large attendance and all were of the opinion that a better entertainment would have been hard to find. Music was played by Vinsen’s Ambassadors Orchestra, the members of which were given little respite by the masters of ceremonies, Messrs. Reg Smith and C. Hawkes. Supper arrangements were in the hands of the division and were all that could be desired. Among those present were Mesdames Brunton, P. Marchant, Hawkes, Greenwell, Hoskin, J. Richards, T. Richards, Horn, Wisnewski, P. Hoskin, T. Carley, S. Carley, Goble, Brown, Belcher, R. Smith,- Jenkins, Piper, *J. White and Webby, Misses Mander (2), Hollins (2), Rayner (2),' Richards, Goble, Dymond (2), Hoskin, Townsend, Blair, Piper, Kemsley, Gall, Hackett, Purdy (3),- Horn, Gallie (2), Fry day, Fobeck and Shrimpton. The Misses Mander are spending , a holiday at Wanganui. Miss Muriel Hoskin is visiting Hawera. Mrs. Schuber, .who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. Hoskin, has returned to Matamata. • ■ • Miss M. Rayner is visiting Wairarapa. Miss D. ’Hoskin has returned from a visit to Otakeho. Mrs. Horn has returned from a visit to Hawera. Mrs. Diernelis is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. F. Aubrey. Messrs. Aubrey and D. Huckstep are spending a holiday at Uruti. Miss Gallie is the guest of Mrs. A. Hoskin. Mr. Alf Bennett is on a visit to Auckland.
Mrs. Brunton is at Wellington, where she will represent the local Women’s Division at the general conference.
