CONVICTS ESCAPE TO HILLS
RELEASE OF THEIR HOSTAGES. POLICE HUNT IN KANSAS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Lansing (Kansas), June 1. After freeing their hostages at various places the ten convicts who escaped from the State prison yesterday escaped to the hills, where they will be difficult to locate.
The convicts kidnapped the warden and two guards.- They separated into two groups, each commandeering an automobile, and drove away, taking the three women occupants of the cars with them.
