NEXT SATURDAYS MATCH,

ARAWA v. TARANAKI. Very keen interest is being taken by the Taranaki Maoris in the match which is to be played at Pukekura Park on Saturday between the Taranaki and Arawa Maoris for the Tainui Shield, which the Taranaki team captured at Rotorvia from its old rivals last year. The Taranaki Maoris are in training. Saturday promises to provide a good day’s sport as the Taranaki Hunt Club’s point-to-point steeplechase meeting is to be held at the racecourse adjoining, the final event being timed to take place before the football match starts. The Taranaki Brewery and Cordial Co. Ltd. is presenting a trophy to be allocated to ,one of the point-to-point events.
