MAN INJURED IN QUARRY
STRUCK BY FALLING STONE. FIFTY FEET DROP INTO PIT. An elderly man, Mr, G. W. Curry, employed by the Public Wokrs Department on the Upper Waitotara Road, met with a serious and painful accident while working at Crawshaw’s pit. A huge boulder, breaking away from the top, caught Mr. Carr, knocking .him off his balance to fall a distance of 50 . feet He received ■ very severe facial injuries and a broken leg. He was taken to the Wanganui hospital ■by ‘ -the Free ■ Ambulance. ■ . ’.' ’
