CELTIC FOOTBALL CLUB
REINSTATEMENTS DEALT WITH. , Matters in connection with reinstatements and age limits were dealt with at a meeting of the executive of the Celtic Rugby Football Club at Stratford on Tuesday. There were present Messrs. F. Foley (president), T. Attrill, H. McCalman, A. C. Walker, W. Mulholland and J. M. Stephens and L. F. Coley (joint secretaries). A letter was received from the Cardiff club applying for the reinstatement of A. Pryce from senior to first junior. It was decided to forward the application to the Taranaki Rugby Union for approval. The resignation of J. McHarrison was accepted. It was decided to bring before the union an alleged breach of the rules by the Elthaip club in playing several players over the age limit in a. third grade match on May 18. The union wrote confirming the reinstatement of W. Cook, J. Carryer and H. Lonsdale from senior to first junior grade. Correspondence from the union was read dealing with the rules governing the transfer of players, drawing the attention of clubs to the rules where definite age limits were fixed for the third, fourth and fifth grades and to the necessity for adhering strictly to them. The union advised that all fixtures for June 3 were postponed unless special permission was granted. > The social committee reported that the dances held by the clubs in the parish hall had both proved social successes and that a small profit was shown. July 13 was fixed as the date of the club’s annual ball in the town hall.
