Terrorists shot dead an Indian police sub-inspector named Makham Lal Djkshit in the Patiya district, the most notorious hotbed of revolutionaries in the Chittagong area, and where Captain Cameron was shot dead last year.

The sub-inspector was shot by an unknown assailant through a window of a bungalow near the police station of which he was in charge.
