PICNIC AT HUATOKI

HOLY TRINITY SUNDAY SCHOOL. With perfect weather and in beautiful surroundings, the Holy Trinity Sunday school picnic on Saturday could not fail to be an unqualified success. About 100 children gathered at the Huatoki domain and the afternoon was passed in races, games and swimming. The Sunday school teachers, under the leadership of the Rev. W. S. C. Stephens, arranged for the catering, and children, parents and friends thoroughly enjoyed the day.

The results of the running races are:— Senior boys: Jack Tanner 1, Laurie I-luggard 2. Intermediate boys: Noel Tanner 1, Ron Vaughan 2. Junior, boys: Mick Feck 1, Ray Tanner

Senior girls: Phyllis Smith 1, Vera Smith 2. ' Intermediate girls: Jean Scott 1, D. Julian 2.

Junior girls: Margaret Binns 1, Eleanor O’Donnell and Alice Kinsella 2 equal. Married ladies’ race: Mrs. Kibby 1, Mrs. Parker 2. Teachers’ race: Miss Tanner 1, Miss Chivers 2
