The full board of directors of the Lepperton dairy factory, including the manager, travelled to Hawera last Saturday for the purpose of attending the meeting called by the Federation of Taranaki Factories regarding dairy produce. One car load found the trip quite exciting, the car getting exceptionally hot, columns of smoke issuing out from under the bonnet when eventually it arrived at Hawera per medium of four man-power. It was an expensive trip for at least one of the directors.
